"The deep blue sky is infinitely high and crystal clear." I'll never get tired of that quote. So are things looking up? I think so. I finally got Myo (my PS3) repaired last Saturday. Went over to Jsnepo's place with Altahi, Hideo, Andrew and Rayman. I helped in dissassembling the PS3 while Jsnepo did the re-flow. To my relief Myo is alive again, but now I have to be careful not to over-user her. I'm only keeping her on as long as 3-4 hours a day and I made it a point to have the air-conditioning on when I use her.
As for my job, I'm still trying to get a feel for the ropes. Today was a day that made me smile even though I had a few short-comings. I wonder if my evaluation will hold up? I know I have been here only a month so far but I feel like I'm missing out on something. Whatever it is I sure hope I realize it soon.
The layout has changed as well. This made me realize how much I like Saber. Aside from Kenshin she's my other favorite Anime character. Sheesh, what's with me and characters with swords?
Sigh. Myo is dead and I don't know what to do. Out of despiration I tried to open her up the other day but it seems that I lack the proper screw driver. I just got one today and after this blog has been posted, I'm planning to open her up in a few. I know it sound futile but techie guys like me just can't stand not knowing why and how this happened and if there is some way to fix it.
It happened a few days ago, I downloaded the latest Anime episodes from my dad's house (yes, I still don't have internet access at home due to PLDT's super idiotic slow line transfer process). I then copied them using my trusty USB drive to the hard drive and when I was about to watch during the opening of one of the Anime episodes, bam! She suddenly turned off with the red light blinking like crazy and beeping like hell. I thought it was just one of those random faults but I was wrong. When I turned her on, she immediately turned off and did the red lights flashing and then, the thing I feared the most, the YLOD (yellow light of death). Sigh. I haven't been using her for the past 2 months, I didn't play any Blu-ray based games and the only thing I used her for was watching Anime. Sigh.
So far I've done some research over the internet. There are ways to get her to work again but I'm not really sure. I've talked to a guy from PinoyPS who offered to repair her for 4k, but I'll think about it. I don't want to spend that much for now. I might do it myself though. Saw a few vids on YouTube. Sigh. I don't know. I guess I'll see what happens.
